UPDATE: ONE OF OUR BOOKED ACTS HAS A NEW NAME: “CUTESYLVANIA”!
cutesylvania-200Steffeny Messinger has changed the name of her act, formerly known as “My Parents Favorite Music”, to the new name “Cutesylvania”! I have made that change at MarsCon Dementia dot com, but the poster image at the site, plus the official printed MarsCon 2019 Program Book, pocket program, website, and such will still have her act listed as “My Parent’s Favorite Music”. Just wanted to let you all know, so if I or anybody refers to “Cutesylvania”, that Steffeny Messinger is indeed in the house and will be rocking it with her awesome chiptune jams! 😀

UPDATE: STEVE GOODIE HAD TO CANCEL DUE TO ILLNESS
Sometimes Steve Goodie has made some really sick songs, both in the good and bad sense, but right now he is the literal type of “sick” and very much so, so sadly he has had to cancel his appearance at MarsCon this year. Devo Spice will fill in and perform Steve’s nominated song during “The Logan Awards” ceremony / concert.

NEW ACT ANNOUNCED: JEFF WHITMIRE!
With the announcement of the nominees for the 2019 Logan Awards being held at MarsCon, one of the nominees asked if he could come out and perform a concerts as well as be in the Logans ceremony, and I was able to squeeze him in! So catch new-to-MarsCon performer Jeff Whitmire on Sunday afternoon!

“TABLE 27” NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!
So far, only 4 of our “Table 27” Volunteers (Head of Table 27 Jered Perez, Michael Sienkowski, and John Eichenlaub) have confirmed with Jered that they are returning to MarsCon 2019 to be a part of the “Table 27” staff. With the convention 2 weeks away, and no response from the 3 other volunteers we had last year, we are looking for 2 people who would be willing to spend some of their time at MarsCon during the Dementia Track concerts helping to sell merch at “Table 27” which is right outside the entrance to the Main Stage, so you’ll still be able to hear all the concerts. In exchange for your time & effort, we can provide you with a comped weekend badge to MarsCon 2019. If you already have purchased a MarsCon 2019 badge but are still willing to volunteer, please contact us as well, and we will see what can be worked out. So, if you are willing to be a “Table 27” Volunteer at MarsCon 2019, please email me at thegreatlukeski@gmail.com, and I will forward your email to Head of Table Jered Perez. Thank you.

A NEW “FuMP” T-SHIRT COMING FROM LUKE SKI!
If you’ve been following my social media, you may have noticed and filled out a survey I put out regarding a possible new FuMP T-shirt I was considering having made to sell at “Table 27” at MarsCon. Well, the shirts are ordered, and I made sure to get at least one in each size of everyone who filled out the survey. They will cost $15. You’re under no obligation to buy one if you filled out that survey, but I hope you will once you see the design, which I am keeping secret, because comedy is all about surprise, people.

“SPACE ODDITY MUSIC CLUB & BREW PUB” ROOM PARTY FUND RAISER!…
…is already funded by the time I finally get around to giving them a plug. Well, if you’d still like to donate some gold-pressed latinum to Beth and her crew hosting the party, the link to their Fund Raiser is https://www.gofundme.com/space-oddity-at-marscon-2019!

SPAFF HAS CANCELLED HIS APPEARANCE AT MARSCON 2012

Spaff has regretfully informed me that he’ll be unable to make it to MarsCon this year. You all can go back to believing that he does in fact not actually exist, and that he is in reality a “Mr. Hyde” style persona of Steve Goodie’s.

MARSCON 2012 DEMENTIA TRACK T-SHIRT NOW AVAILABLE

With this year’s theme being “Rocking The Apocalypse”, I drew all of the Dementia Track participants representing or being menaced by various types of apocalypses (except for the COG who are seemingly causing them). You can see the image here: http://tinyurl.com/APOCimage . You can order the t-shirt at http://dementiaradio.spreadshirt.com . This t-shirt won’t be for sale at the con itself, you have to order it ahead of time.

None of the funds from this shirt go to anyone other than Spreadshirt. However if you would like to spend some money to help out the MarsCon 2012 Dementia Track Fund Raiser, you can pick up this year’s (and previous year’s) albums at http://marscondementia.com/fundraiser-shop . You can hear a free 33 minute preview of this year’s collection here: http://tinyurl.com/MarsCon12PREVIEW .

MARSCON 2012 60-SECOND VIDEO AD ON YOUTUBE

I used the Dementia Track art I created this year and some familiar movie audio to make a 60-Second ad for YouTube. You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghFlLD17Yx4 Please share it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

MARSCON 2012 60-SECOND AUDIO AD MP3 FOR RADIO & INTERNET D.J.S & PODCASTERS

Upon Devo Spice’s suggestion, I made a 60 second audio ad for DJs and podcasters to use to promote MarsCon. You can get that here: http://tinyurl.com/MarsCon12ad60SEC . If you’re still interested in the longer ones, you can get the 3.5 min, one here: http://tinyurl.com/MarsCon12adSHORT , and the 7.5 min. one here: http://tinyurl.com/MarsCon12adLONG . Any airplay you’re willing to give them would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

“TABLE 27” IS STILL LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS

Our huge double-wide merch table for the acts of the MarsCon Dementia Track is returning once again, and we need people to staff it. In exchange for your services, you’ll get a free badge into MarsCon for the weekend. Table 27 is just outside the doors to the Main Stage room, and will be open during the Dementia Track concerts, on Friday from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am, Saturday from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and on Sunday from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. We will do our best to make sure our volunteers don’t miss out on anything at MarsCon they really want to see or do. We have 4 volunteerS already, and we’re looking for at least 2 more volunteers to help run the table during those times. Our goal is to have 2 or 3 people behind the table at all times when it is open, so if we have at least 6 volunteers, that should be easy to figure out. So if you’re willing to give us some of your time at MarsCon to help the Dementia Track in exchange for a free weekend badge, email me at thegreatlukeski@gmail.com . Thanks.

[Note from Baron Dave: FB allows unlimited uploads, which is good, but compresses really small, which is bad for things like macros. If anyone wants a higher res image to play with, let me know (and be specific about which pic).]

Luke & Moonbeam & Carrie & Blasted Bill’s Bad Pod Rapport Of Destiny: Episode 2 – Post-MarsCon 2010 Wrap-up Report!

Well, the title pretty much explains everything you need to know, but I’m too OCD to not type something here, so here goes. It’s Luke & Moonbeam & Carrie & Blasted Bill’s Bad Pod Rapport Of Destiny, Episode 2, our Post-MarsCon 2010 Wrap-up Report! Recorded Sunday night March 7th in Nate Boi’s hotel room after all of MarsCon 2010’s activities had come to an end. We had a room full of friends & artists, including Brendan from Nuclear Bubble Wrap, Chris Mezzolesta of Power Salad, and Insane Ian who didn’t say anything during the whole episode. Perhaps he was deep in contemplation on which MarsCon T-shirt he should order from Spreadshirt. In any case, here’s 18 minutes of post-con-nal bliss. Enjoy!
